How am I doing as Edward? I seriously think I’m doing a bad job over here…

She hummed a bit in thought, looking back up to the ceiling. “Well, it’s only natural. I mean, plenty of people slip up at some points…I know I have. All we can do is try our hardest to not let it happen in the future.”
He was still stuck in the afterthought. He finally looked up at her, “Natural or not, what I did wasn’t justified. Even if I went after murderers and rapists. It made me a monster—well, more of a monster if I should be more specific.” He scowled, more inwardly than to anyone else.
Alison,
“I knew they weren’t coming just to see little old me.” she chuckled. ”So what do you have planned for us this time around?”

He laughed, keeping his lips shut tight. He had plenty planned, but he wasn’t going to tell her. At least, he didn’t plan to tell her the important ones. “Shopping, for you and Alice. Emmett and I will probably play volleyball. Oh, and there’s a bridal store that I’ve been interested in taking you.”

“Hm, I see…” In a way it was similar to her. She leaned back a bit, hands folded in her lap. “I can kind of understand that…I don’t drain the people I feed off of like most of my kind, meaning I’m not as strong as I could be either. It’s actually been a really long time since I last drained someone…” And even then it had been a complete accident, one she still felt terrible about. “Have you ever…slipped up before?”
“I would offer you assistance, but I don’t have a heartbeat therefore life force is a bit nonexistent.” She smirked, “And I’m in a relationship and I would prefer to be faithful.” He looked down at his hands. Her next question made him delve a bit into memories he would prefer not to think about. Rather than vocalize his answer, he simply nodded with furrowed eyebrows.
Alison,
“That’s fine. I sort of miss them too…” she grinned mischievously. ”And besides, I’m sure if we asked them to leave they would…”

He tilted his head, “Well it’s not every day that they have a chance to freely wander around during the day. That’s another reason why they’ve chosen to join us.” He grinned, “So we will be alone most of the time.”

“Vegetarian?” She chuckled slightly at the notion, shaking her head. “I’d heard stories that there were those like that, though I can’t say I’ve ever met such one. So what’s it like not indulging in blood?” She leaned in closer to him, intrigued by his way of life.
He shrugged, “It’s frustrating at times, but we manage. Animals are sufficient to quench our thirsts, but not enough to make us as strong if we were to indulge ourselves on human blood.” He smiled weakly, “But if it allows us to live among them freely, then we’ll manage.”
Alison,
Really?! I’d love to go back to the beach house! Remind me to hug Carlisle the next time I see him (not that I wouldn’t anyway). I’m so excited now!

He sucked in a breath, “There’s one small exception to that rule of course. Alice and Emmett have invited themselves. It seems they miss their Alison.” He growled slightly, upset that his brother and sister would claim her as their own.

She chuckled again, shrugging a bit. “What can I say, I figured this was the best way to have a steady stream of meals coming in.” She licked her lips, glancing around at the various men around them. “They get sex, I get to feed…it’s a win win situation in my mind.” She looked back to him, crimson eyes scanning over him. “Vampire, hm? You’re the….third I’ve met, I believe. So, how’s your craving for blood? Under control?”

He gave a curt nod. Certainly this was an interesting change of events. The idea of sexual energy for food sounded better than his particular food source. But it wasn’t going to change anytime soon for him. A disgruntled sigh past his lips. “My family and I have a peculiar method of keeping our diet under control. We call ourselves vegetarians.” He laughed.
